Store Closure for Short Break

If you purchase a license or Service Package before the closing date and require installation, please be sure to leave at least 24 hours before then for the work to be done. Otherwise, any work will be scheduled for after this period.

MailScanner Front-End Installation Instructions for cPanel

To install MailScanner and the MailScanner Front-End for the first
time on a server, or to re-install the basic parts of the MailScanner
package you can do the following steps. Be sure to carefully follow all
the instructions given for each step.

1. Install MailScanner:

2. Install/configure Razor and DCC. Run these commands in ssh as root:

/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/532/bin/razor-admin -create
/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/perl/532/bin/razor-admin -register

cd /usr/src/ wget tar -xzf dcc.tar.Z cd dcc-*/ ./configure --disable-dccm make make install sed -i "s/DCCM_LOGDIR=\"log\"/DCCM_LOGDIR=\"\"/" /var/dcc/dcc_conf cdcc 'info -N' cd .. /bin/rm -Rf dcc-* dcc.tar.Z

Ensure that the following ports are open in any software or hardware firewalls:

DCC - out-bound UDP port 6277
DCC - out-bound TCP port 587 (for reporting spam)
Razor - out-bound TCP port 2703

3. If you have purchased the MailScanner Front-End, you can install it following the instructions here:

Note: If you have moved to a new server since purchasing the
MailScanner Front-End, or your server IP address has changed, you should
first change your licensed IP address here before trying to install MSFE on the new server or IP address:

4. Go to WHM > ConfigServer MailScanner FE > MailScanner Configuration and make the following changes:

a. Set "Virus Scanners = " to "clamd" if you have installed clamav
and wish to use the clamd daemon (recommended) with MailScanner.

b. Search for "Clamd Socket = ". Make sure that value is set to "/var/clamd" and NOT "/tmp/clamd.socket".

c. You may also wish to set "Spam List = " to an empty field if you are using the RBL blocking in exim (see step 6 below).

d. Set the "%org-name%", "%org-long-name%", and "%web-site%" to your
desired settings. Make sure the %org-name% includes ONLY alphanumeric
characters, that is, only letters and numbers, NO symbols such as _ or -
or even a .

e. Click "Change" at the bottom once you've made all the above changes.

5. Modify the WHM Exim Configuration Settings as recommended here.
