How do I configure MailScanner to notify recipients of a blocked file attachment?

If you want to deliver blocked filetype or filename attachment notices to the recipient, but not emails that were actually infected with a virus, you can do the following:

1. WHM > MailScanner > MailScanner Configuration > Deliver Disinfected Files = %rules-dir%/virus.delivery.rules

2. WHM > MailScanner > MailScanner Configuration > Still Deliver Silent Viruses = no

3. WHM > MailScanner > MailScanner Configuration > Silent Viruses = All-Viruses

4. WHM > MailScanner > Front-End Settings > Advanced Settings > Default delivery action for email found to be virus infected and is subsequently cleaned = yes

5. In the cPanel Front-end the user will probably need to change the Deliver Cleaned Emails setting from no to yes.

6. To make the front-end changes take effect on existing accounts rather than just new accounts (except for cPanel accounts whose users have already modified their MailScanner configuration), run the following command from the shell prompt:

/usr/mscpanel/msbe.pl
